I appreciate any feedback. I’ve been using a Weber kettle for a long time and have long ago exhausted it’s abilities. I’m not a noob meat cooker but can’t make up my mind.
Mostly looking at at the Yoder 640s pellet, Pitts & Spitts Maverick 1250 pellet, and the Yoder Loaded Wichita offset.
I like the pellets for the set it and forget it but the pellets are also expensive and the unit requires electricity. I like that the offsets use charcoal and wood and require no electricity or gas.
I like managing cooks. But the ease of use of pellets are also nice. Mostly would be smoking chickens, turkeys, ribs, briscuit, loins/lambs.
I’d keep using the Weber for burgers/hotdogs/steaks.
Thank you very much!
FYI all cooking is backyard bbq for 4-12 people.
