You've got to pretty much just accept the fact that the refs are going to screw you

You think they're going to call a hip check on an 11 seed? HELL no. But if one of your guys breathes on them get ready for the foul to be called

Not saying it's on purpose at all....human bias is just unavoidable. It's human nature to subliminally pull for the underdog and it's the main problem with basketball as a sport in general....
-90% of the rules are completely subjective....way more than any other sport
-Fouls are called way more frequently than any other sport
-Fouls result in direct points for the other team, unlike any other sport

To think refs don't impact the outcome of close games is just naive

But with that being said, it happens to every team playing an underdog (besides the blue bloods), not just us. And if we weren't good enough to overcome that against an 11 then we weren't going very far anyways
