I’m pretty interested in this stock. Would like some input...
I spoke with one of their executive team members (she led the team that goes from franchise to franchise, throughout the world, and helps transition them to a corporate store). She was pretty brutally honest about the issues they have been having with their franchises and how she felt that the buy-back would give them a lot more control of the direction they take as a organization. It’s a forced takeover that they are trying to make as smooth as possible. She was saying online made up 27% of their sales and a lot of that is through Amazon.
There are signs that overseas growth could take off (China makes up just 8% of their sales) and I’d expect higher profitability once their crappy franchises have been weeded out.
Anyone have an example of a company that successfully bought back its franchises? Thoughts on this stock? Currently at $575. Down from almost $1000 a year and a half ago.
