We are currently ranked 19th with 17 commitments (could cut ties with 1 more) and total of 1,757 points. In order to get into the top 10 we will probably have to gain somewhere between 2,400 and 2,500 points. If everything stays the same, then we have 8 commitments to go and need 700 points to get into the top 10, but, we must take into account that Rivals only counts the top 20 commitments. Here is a look at some of the realistic recruits we have a shot at and their point ranking as of right now:
TE: Darnell Washington: 213 PTS
DT: Tyler Baron: 150 PTS
DT: Octavious Oxendine: 105 PTS
RB: Jabari Small: 90 PTS
ATH: Jimmy Holiday: 90 PTS
ATH: Dee Beckwith: 90 PTS
LB: Desmond Tisdol: 90 PTS
LB/RB: Len'neth Whitehead: 90 PTS
LB: Khari Coleman: 90 PTS
DT: Reginald Perry: 75 PTS
LB: Vai Kaho: 15 PTS
If we were to add Washington, Baron, and Oxendine that would be an immediate 468 points and an overall of 2,225 points, which would probably put us in the 14-16 range. If we add Small, Holiday, Coleman, and Beckwith then their combined point total would be 360 points, but, it would have to subtracted from the lowest ranked players that are currently be counted. Those are Hodge (75), Miller (75), Williamson (60), and Albright (15) for a total of 225 points. After you subtract 225 from 360 then we gain another 135 points. So, we would have a total of 2,360 points. Last year we finished ranked 12th with 2,334 points. Now, if Pruitt could pull a miracle and add a Hardy or Ratledge, then that would be a complete game changer and possible top 8 finish. If you have anything to add please do so.
