I bought 3 complete roasts at Publix for $6.74 a lb. Best deal for a good quality rib roast. I usually just season with salt and pepper and wrap in cheese cloth for a week. Today I will trim the ribs and tie each rib. I usually cook it whole.
I marinated with Alegro with garlic and add Everglades seasoning. I bake at 500 degrees at 4.5 mins per lb. and set the timer. Once the oven cuts off….don’t open the oven for any reason for 3 hours. Then add a thermometer and reheat to 140 degrees. Perfect for medium-medium rare. I usually cover in foil for 20-30 minutes while cooking the au jus.
I’d love to try a roast on my pellet grill. Has anyone every tried that? Let me know.
