Both have similar records and program trajectories after two seasons (Pruitt one game better so far, but similar awesome recruiting classes before Year 3)... how do you prioritize what CJP needs to do to prevent how Butch’s tenure finished? (Butch went 9-4 and 2nd in the East in his 3rd and 4th years before the wheels fell off in Year 5)

Butch had the luxury of Dobbs being a Jr and Sr in years 3 and 4... and also, UGA and UF were not as good as they will be against Pruitt. I almost think it’s to Pruitt’s advantage to struggle a little more than Butch in Year 3 with a true freshman QB in Bailey and a new receiving group. He also needs to recruit the lines better than Butch. We as fans maybe need to also provide some more patience if Year 6 is more optimistic than what it was if Butch had survived. Fulmer is a big advantage to CJP too...

Overall, I see some similarities to our program’s “stock” at this point as we saw with Butch, and maybe even Dooley to some extent, and am truly curious how we can avoid a similar fate, especially with our two divisional rivals trending upwards more than in the past.
