Our recruiting ranking is based largely on the number of points accumulated from a large number of commits. I'd rather get points from getting fewer players with higher ratings. In the end, everyone has a similar number of signees - the ones with better (not more) players win on the field.
I believe our staff does a good job evaluating talent, but there's a limit on how many diamonds-in-the-rough you can find.
Said another way, I'd rather have 19 4-star players than 25 3-stars, even though both generate the same "points" for recruiting rankings.
