What is the board's opinion? Would Kiffin bolt from Ole Miss after one year and go to Austin to take over the Horns?
After the fiasco of leaving UT after a year, I say no. I think he would stay in Oxford for at least a couple of years.
I have heard his name as a contender at UT Austin assuming the Horns fire Herman. Also hearing Herman will really have to crap the bed as Texas does not want the optics of huge payouts during a pandemic. Texas is a trainwreck now. The controversy over The Eyes of Texas has escalated. Last Saturday at the Cotton Bowl Sam Ehlinger was the only Texas player to stay on the field after the game for the singing of the Eyes, a HUGE Texas tradition. To boot, Herman is a dressed up version of Butch. The team is a disaster.
