On Wilcoxson...

Covered him since he was a freshman. Only played about half of the 2019 season due to a transfer rule. He was at Stephenson, then went to Cedar Grove, and was forced to go back to Stephenson, so he missed some time. As a player, I really like his length and his range on the back-end of the defense. I know he sees himself as a CB, and he has never liked that I ranked him as a S, but I still see him longterm as a free safety on the next level. He is not a strong cover guy, especially closer to the line of scrimmage. He could end up at the STAR/MONEY position, but still, seeing him as much as I have over the years, I like him well off the line of scrimmage in the secondary. He has good ball skills, he is a physical player and on the back-end, he does play with good awareness.
Overall, Wilcoxson is a good DB. Love the length, love the range and strong ball skills. Can improve speed, get better in coverage and overall fluidity.

On Brooks...

Have seen him once, so compared to seeing Wilcoxson over a dozen, there is a big difference there in personal/on-site evals... With that said, I really like Brooks. I talked to Austin on Zoom about that, and he is a very high four-star for me, but could be playing for that fifth star this season. I really like his upside as a pass rusher. Can play with hand down, can rush standing up and is athletic enough to play in the flats. He just needs to get bigger and stronger. I would like to see him play a little more angry too. I do not think he knows how good he is or can be yet. I am very high on him, and he is one I expect to recruit to the minute he signs those papers. Brooks is an elite talent with so much room to grow and develop.

Good pick-ups for Tennessee.
