When I was young I had this dream of running through the "T"
While everyone in Neyland was cheering just for me.
But like so many folks before me, I dream was all for naught.
Life had other plans for me and other dreams were sought.
When My first born son came along, that dream became fresh anew.
Maybe one day he would dream of running the "T" too.
But that dream was quickly put away, as his illness took control.
When a visit to the specialist gave us the final blow.
When the doctor can me in he said, "we need to talk.
Nick has lots of problems, he might not even walk".
But the skills with some great doctors and with the prayers to the God above, We've been blessed with friends and family, and showered with their love.
Now it football time in Tennessee, I love that familiar cry.
For I've always been a Vol Fan and will be till I die.
But this year is going to be special, but even for me.
