Can you provide any type of insight as to why they seem to call the game a lot more close than every other conference refs? Do they pay the refs what other conferences pay theirs?
At times, college basketball is hard enough to watch as is when players aren't making shots, but when you add in a whistle being blown almost every trip down the floor then it makes it truly unbearable. There have been multiple UT games where I would've turned them off and watched something else if I wasn't a fan.
That Kentucky/South Carolina game last night had almost 60 total fouls called last night (1.5 fouls per minute).
Watching Big 12 games this year makes it seem like night/day compared to the quality of officiating that we get on a nightly basis. It allows teams to stay in games that otherwise would probably lose by double digits (South Carolina last night).
