@Rob Lewis In looking at the record, it appears from the outside that Russ Springmann was the ace recruiter on Rick Barnes' staff at Texas. Yet, he either didn't want to come to Tennessee or Barnes didn't offer. Springmann wound up at San Diego as an assistant. I know it's nearly a year later, but any insight as to why Springmann isn't on UT's staff? They chose to go with Des Oliver who, seems to be a great guy for getting the guys out of NC that NC, Duke and NC State don't get. That's a good strategy for Charlotte, but I'm thinking that'll be dicey at Tennessee.
