Do you agree or disagree with the scores and our record? If so why? Just curious to what people’s expectations are this season. I really like the guy making this prediction. If it plays out like this Pruitt may deserve Coach of the year.
Personally I think that if we beat Florida and UGA then we should beat Oklahoma. Either way if that is our record and those scores are remotely close then we’re going to Atlanta to play for a playoff spot. I would take it in a heartbeat. Part of me thinks we’re a year or possibly two away from being a legit top 5 caliber team (playoff caliber), then the other side says screw that. I thought the same thing in I think Butch’s 3rd year when we lost to Oklahoma in OT, Florida on the last play and Bama by a TD. I think everyone thought we were maybe a year away but we weren’t, we were ready that year. I think now is as good as ever. If we were to win 10 with victories over Florida and UGA. Lose to Bama by 3 and Oklahoma by 7 (combined 10 points in both losses) then we’re going ranked??? 6th or 7th to Atlanta and if we win we’re in the playoff. “IF” that we’re to happen I’m going to go out on a limb and say that we finish this year with a top 3 class at worst and become a permanent fixture in the top 5 in recruiting for the foreseeable future. I also think we would be a top 10 team year in and year out on the field because I don’t see us doing anything but getting better the way we are stacking talent and adding size, speed and just the right kind of kids to play winning football. It’s not as far fetched as it seems really. I think we could beat any of those teams especially if our ground game is significantly improved to where JG can play good smart football and get our offense average to above average in the redzone. The redzone killed us last year. If we make big improvements there then watch out because we should’ve won 10 games last year. I think our defense will finish the season in the top 10 in most major categories.
