So, we just lost out being in the top-2 of the 20th ranked player in the class of 2022, and I have detected essentially zero weeping and gnashing of teeth over that fact. Did I simply miss the mourning and wailing? I don't think I did.

I think this simply shows that our program is recruiting at an elite level. We're not taking much of a bask seat to anyone (excluding maybe the most cash-rich NIL funnel out in the western part of the state, w/ FedEx, which is a totally different thing and not what we're going for with our program). On the one hand, Cason Wallace seems to be FAR more of a priority and a kid we would have much rather landed than Hood-Schifino. Also, as @Rob Lewis had posted, we weren't willing to promise Hood-Schifino that he would start right away, which also indicates part of the degree of strength of our program presently.

I had a few other thoughts, but I gotta run pick up my Jimmy John's sandwich and get back to sit in on a noon Eastern meeting.
