Four-star quarterback Ty Simpson announced via Twitter on Monday that he is delaying his college decision one week due to the weather and Westview High School being closed.
Simpson will now make his college decision at 2 p.m. on Feb. 26 in the gymnasium at Westview High School.
More on Ty Simpson:
On Dec. 10, Simpson announced his top 10 college choices, which included Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and UT Martin. But Notre Dame offered him last week, so the Fighting Irish could also be in the mix.
Simpson helped lead the Chargers to the second round of the Class 3A state playoffs and was named a Mr. Football semifinalist. Westview was 7-5, the most wins by the program since 2014.
He completed 124 of 203 passes for 1,888 yards with 20 touchdowns and seven interceptions, while rushing for 311 yards and seven touchdowns.
