A well-to-do south Tampa (Florida) family bought their 16 year old son a 2018 Mustang GT for his birthday. Kid takes it out on a busy street where it is 40 miles per hour and races someone, at times doing 100 mph. At 102 mph, he hits a mother pushing her stroller killing the mother and the baby. Tragic.
The well-to-do family hires a prominent attorney. Suddenly, in the Sunday newspaper there is a front page article about how this tragedy has affected the teen and his family. Interviews with friends and family. "Kid was always so great. Always helping people. Had his life mapped out." Blah, blah, blah. Very little about the husband and father who lost everyone due to this kid's negligence.
Is it really a coincidence that after a prominent attorney was hired that the newspaper ran a glowing story on the kid? No doubt the attorney greased the palms of someone to get that biased advertising out there.
