Instead of replying to everyone that thinks Eze is an idiot I figured I would just start a thread with my thoughts.

If Eze committs to Memphis (which I certainly believe he will) I think there are many factors involved in his decision.

1. Eze is very much a relationship kid and he has absolutely hit it off with the coaches at Memphis. He has been in this country for a little over a year of his 18 years in this world. Going where he feels the most comfortable probably means more than most of you could ever imagine.
2. In my opinion Eze is a looooong way from being able to play in the SEC. He has blown up because of his potential. I think he wants to play as soon as he can. Id say he knows that he can prob play sooner at Memphis than at an SEC school. It will still time some time and prob a redshirt for him to see playing time at Memphis. He might very well get lost in the shuffle long term at a big time SEC school (See Dontavius Blair)
3. He has no family here, the people that he has formed relationships with are here in Middle Tennessee. If I had to guess I would think he would like to remain somewhat close to those folks. Yes I know that Vandy is close and has great academics but we all know that Vandy is not for everyone.
4. Memphis is still a very high level of football (higher level than an MTSU or WKU in my opinion). I do think Eze has hopes of playing in the NFL and he thinks the Memphis coaches can get him there. Yes the big time programs can certainly get him there...but not if they lose faith in him early and he never sees the field.
5. Buck has certainly developed a good relationship with Memphis (as he has with many schools). Buck is not dummy...he wants to help send kids to schools where he feels like they have a great chance to succeed. I think he feels good about the outlook for Eze at Memphis vs other bigger programs. I know many (with CSW leading the way) will all cry that people are getting paid, blah blah blah

In reality, Memphis just happens to seem to be a great fit for Eze and he really likes it there and loves the coaches. WHY IS THAT SO HARD TO BELIEVE?

I for one will be rooting for Eze to do great things. He really is a great young man.
