The offense has been rolling, 2 possessions w 2 TD’s. Offense gets behind the chains due to a holding call. Heupel dials up a really good play to either get back within FG or get the first down. Fant is in the slot & comes open with a post in the middle of the field. Milton gets ALL day to throw it but never sees Fant clear the LB to get open. If he hits him in stride Fant has a chance to get the 1st down. Instead Milton holds onto the ball & gets sacked.
2nd QTR , 9:48 left it’s a 1st & 10.
Vols get their first possession of the 2nd QTR, on the first play Heupel dials up a pass play. OL gives Milton ALL day to throw, Hyatt comes open on a 15 yard post in the middle of the field, the throw is at his back hip but he gets both hands on the ball & drops it. Offense ends up going 3 & out.
2nd QTR, 2:10 left it’s a 1st & 10.
Tennessee gets the ball in a 2 minute situation, needs about 25-30 yards for good FG range. Heupel dials up an easy simple throw to get ahead of the chains, Fant is in the slot & runs a 5 yard out to the sideline, Milton hits him between the #’s & Fant gets hit from behind & drops the ball.
4th QTR, 9:18 left it’s a 3rd & 19.
Vols get into the red zone but back to back holding penalties, the first call was complete BS & took a TD off the board, has them backed up. Heupel dials up a great play to get them in the Endzone or just enough for a 1st down. Hyatt runs about 20/22 yard Post & is WIDE open, Milton hits him in the #’s & he drops it. Vols settle for a FG.
Watching inside the stadium I thought Milton had a really bad night, after rewatching it he was better than I thought. Had some really bad drops go against him. There was only one play where he just flat out missed a guy running wide open.
