Tried it out last night on a couple of steaks. Awesome! 1.5 inch ribeyes, 131degrees, 1 hour. Turned out great. I smoke and grill meat regularly and had mentioned the Sous vide a couple of years ago but never acted. He got me one and while they aren’t crazy expensive or anything, the fact he remembered that I had mentioned one awhile back was a big deal. He graduated college back in December and now that he’s making his own money he’s buying the gifts that me and mom usually bought for him to give. He was too excited to wait until today to give it to me, plus he wanted to try it out last night.
A side note, he actually said these words to me.....”man, I’m telling ya, tires are expensive for my truck”.....yeah, no sh*t Sherlock...it was like music to my ears. But the fact he can afford them is even more pleasing of course. So anybody with kids that are in high school, don’t worry..it gets better....just make sure they know right from wrong and they will be okay. Sorry for the long post.
