There was lengthy discussion about who was the better back btwn Lewis, Stephens, and Henry. The "winner," obviously, is debatable.

What might not be debatable is the fact that the '97 RB class might be the greatest ever signed by any university. To wit:

Jamal Lewis: Top FB (yes, FB) prospect in the US, future NFL starter
Travis Henry: Parade All-American, future NFL starter
Travis Stephens: Top RB in TN, future NFL player
Dominique Stevenson: Prepstar AA, moved to LB, future NFL LB
Chris Ramseur: #3 RB in NC, ran for almost 6000 in HS, moved to MLB, dismissed prior to '99 season
Will Bartholomew: TN 5A All-State FB, paved way for the Big 3
Phillip Crosby: Top JUCO FB, according to Prepstar, future NFL FB
