If you look back at everything this program has been through over the last 4 to 5 years and the individual struggles with injuries and other issues that some of these guys have been through it is amazing that they are still around fighting to help the program as best they can.
It is easy for us as fans to sit behind keyboards or in the stands and criticize but I don't think anyone can rightfully criticize the commitment and loyalty that these guys have shown to what has been a real dumpster fire for much of their time in Knoxville. It would have been easy for them to bail or not buy-in to what Coach Pruitt is trying to build but I get the sense that they are all doing their best to help with this massive rebuild even though they likely won't be a part of the future.
Their individual careers and team successes have probably not played out like they were wishing or we all would have hoped. I truly believe, however, that as a group they have provided good leadership this season and are helping build a new foundation for future success.
I sincerely hope that those that are wrapping up their eligibility this year are able to contribute to strong performances on and off the field down the stretch and help this team and their careers finish 2018 on a positive note.
I know that I am missing some names but "Thanks" guys!
