Saw a headline on ESPN this morning that made me wonder what it is about LBJ that doesn't scream "GOAT." The headline is asking if KD is a better pure scorer than LBJ.

Is the fact that he isn't the best at any particular thing holding him back in peoples' eyes? He's a very good, to incredible, scorer, rebounder, passer, and his defense is very good. But he's not the best at any of those things.

MJ was a scoring assassin, as was Kobe. Magic was the best passer/floor organizer. Shaq, Russell, Kareem dominated inside. All those guys were of course good, or even great, at other things, but they had that one thing they were the best at.

Or am I way off base, and LBJ is actually the very best at something, not even of all time necessarily, but in his own era? I'm curious if this hurts his perception because to the untrained eye, 65 points is more impressive than 40-45 and a bunch of rebounds and assists, even though perhaps it shouldn't be.
