Should be dominating their sports like they do in this day and age.
Belichick - he is first in my book since he cannot truly recruit his players each year like in College. There has never been a dynasty like he has put together and this includes the Steelers of the 70's, 49'ers in the 80's and Cowboys in the 90's and he does this will free agency and salary caps. I do not think we will ever see this type of run again.
Auriemma - his accomplishments are second from my perspective even though I know some will say it is women's basketball. To beat teams by an average of double digits and closing in on 100 straight wins is unbelievable. There are other great programs in women's basketball and you would think the numbers would catch UCONN every 3 to 4 years due to graduation. Will we ever see 60 straight wins again much less 100?
Saban - even though he lost to Clemson, having the top recruiting class every year and turning out 4-6 1st round draft picks each year is amazing this day and age. The Sooners, Buckeyes, Gators and Trojans have all put together some 5 and 6 year runs in the 70's, 80's and 90's but to do what he has done in the past 10 years is again something I did not believe would EVER happen due to all of the obvious reasons.
Calipari - he has not won the championships like the other three in this post but the way he recruits year in and year out is stunning. It might be WWW getting him players like has been posted over the years but to put 3-4 players in the lottery pick year in and year out it hard to imagine in this era.
All four of these programs I cannot stand so hopefully in a few years all four will be mediocre.
My time of watching sports started in the 70's and I know UCLA BB and the Celtics had their runs along with the Lakers and Yankees but can you all think of a 6-10 year period where four (okay maybe just three) HC's had this type of domination during the same time?
