Had to call the ambulance last night for my 16 year old. Never complains about pain; and is tough as nails but it was brutal last night. Severe cramping and pain in lowers back, then projectile vomiting and 💩’ing at the same time. Called ambulance for fear of appendix, thankfully it wasn’t.
we called the school to tell them why he was out today, and they said multiple parents had called in and claimed the same symptoms. The school asked if my kid had lunch at school that day, and if he had eaten chicken nuggets that were served. Yep and yep.
health dept called us a couple hours ago and they are delivering stool kits to test for potential food poisoning (I guess that’s what they’re doing).
I’ve had this happen to me before, but not at the level it seems happened at his school yesterday. Apparently a lot of parents are livid (we are very unhappy, but waiting to get more information). Wouldn’t be surprised if it hits the news soon. Anyway, dear Facebook i know, but I thought I’d rant.
