Bottom of 3rd we lead 5-2 but the way we have played this weekend who knows. Two straight loses on the last pitch.

We scored 1 in the 1st but they came back the same way they have before, especially against Gabby Sprang-lead off single, fielders choice, runner to second. Two straight wild pitches and we are tied. On Friday night with runners on second and third they were to intentionally walk the hitter and she tossed it over the catcher's head--game over.

Moss is sick and Arnold cannot find the strike zone this weekend. I have to question if the team is worn down. They were playing in coast to coast so-called tournaments and then Hawaii where they were playing 6 games in 3 days. They counted on Gabby to be the third pitcher but she has struggled and now they effectively are back to two, like last year. They even considered pitching the 1st baseman last night.

In the game last night Arnold was just like the night before, pitching from behind and leaving it over the center of the plate. In the 6th she gave up two hard hits that went right at the defense so she escape only to allow a .230 hitter to beat her in the 7th.

Since Abbott we have have had good pitchers but not elite. And we do not have elite this year. Most thought Sprang was it, has not happened. We can hit but until we get elite pitching, we are going to be good but not NC caliber. And this is our best program.
