I watch the Preseason projections/predictions each year. I'm including a link to SG1 Sports with their Projections by percentage odds to win.
Projected Record per SG1 Sports: 8-4
2022 SCHEDULE
9/3 Ball State ... This isn't Pruitt's team or coached by Pruitt thank goodness! VOLS Win and lots of PT for depth I hope.
9/10 at Pittsburgh ... Can't take anyone for granted, but VOLS should be ready and handle Pitt as long as everyone, especially if Hooker is healthy. VOLS Win!
9/17 Akron ... Another depth building game. Hopefully backups get plenty of PT and Hooker doesn't play in the Second Half.
9/24 Florida ... new HC and new QB, plus we get the Gatas in Neyland. I truly believe we BEAT Florida finally this year! I'm picking a VOLS Win!
10/1 BYE
10/8 at Baton Rouge - LSU ... Heupel gets a needed BYE week before we travel to Baton Rouge to face LSU. It's very possible Heupel could pull off a W in Baton Rouge, but everyone's gotta be healthy and we gotta be clicking on all cylinders! I'm calling it a VOLS Win!
10/15 Alabama I'd love to say we're there and can beat Bama, but I feel Heupel must continue building and this isn't the year. VOLS Lose this one.
10/22 UT Martin ... Should be a good week to get guys healthy and rested up for the remaining schedule. VOLS Win!
10/29 Ken Tuck ... Getting Ky in Knoxville will be a challenge with Will Levis leading the Cats, but if Hooker is healthy, we'll whip the kitty's again. VOLS Win!
11/05 at Georgia ... Traveling to Athens, I can't see Heupel beating the Dawgs between the hedges. VOLS Lose this one.
11/12 Missouri ... We should be hungry to return to winning and beat Mizzou in Neyland. VOLS Win!
11/19 at South Carolina ... Again, if our team has made it this far without injury, I don't see us falling to Beamer and the Cocks. VOLS Win!
11/26 at Vanderbilt ... This should be a road trip to finish taking care of business with a beat-down in Nashville. VOLS Win!
8-4 is an improvement and is a very nice record, but I'm calling:
TENNESSEE Final Record & my prediction - VOLS 9-3 (if Hooker stays healthy)
However, 10-2 is quite possible.
GO VOLS!!
