I know a lot of people on Volquest are fishermen, so I wanted put this on your mind. Our local chapter of Project Healing Waters is in the beginning stages of planning our first ever bass tournament fund raiser on Center Hill lake. Obviously there will be more details to come, but now that we have an official date set with the Corps of Engineers I figured I would throw the date/time/location out there for those of you that have busy tournament schedules. It will be on Saturday, May 5th from 7:00-3:00 out of the Ragland Bottom access on Center Hill. May fishing on Center Hill is out of this world. Gonna be some big bags weighed in.
I am not sure about $ on entry fee yet, but I would suspect that we will decide on $100 per boat.
I also think that we are going to let people trailer to whichever part of the lake they plan to fish, and instead of having a blast-off, we are going to allow boats to be at their locations and just begin fishing at 7:00. They do this with some of the bigger charity tournaments around here, and it seems to work well. And it seems to be safer with a lot of boats.
We are going to try to try our best to nail down some corporate sponsors so that we can have a big payout while raising money for PHW at the same time. If you own a business and would like to be involved in sponsoring our fine veterans from the Upper Cumberland region of Tennessee please PM me. If you own an outdoor/fishing shop and would like to donate items for door prizes please keep us in mind.
If you would be interested in fishing this tournament to benefit our veterans reply in the thread for me if you don't mind. Check out www.projecthealingwaters.org as well.
