JB does a great job of capturing the essence of things. The more I hear and read about Butch the more my confidence soars. Reading both of these articles gave me the sense of just how difficult decisions about career moves are. I have made a few but none involved geographic relocation. John really brought out the emotional aspect of not only changing employers but the emotional strains of breaking personal bonds. Two good friends parting ways, understanding why, and suffering through the bittersweet emotions of being happy for the opportunity yet sad for losing a colleague and friend. One good take-away from this for me is knowing that Coach B. is moving to something (NFL) and not away from something (UT).
Too often we look at players and coaches and think of them as pieces on a game broad and not real people with real feelings and struggles just like the ones we often experience in our personal lives.
