UGA has the ball around the 50 with 19 seconds, why not prevent defense?

I agree you don't play prevent with a minute to go, but with 19 seconds playing cover 2, with a guy that hasn't played CB all year? They had to score a TD, not a FG. I would think you play prevent, keep it all in front of you and double team the receivers. Can anyone tell me the thinking there?
