Since some of you got your jimmies rustled over me posting the whole thing last week, I'll post the one that caught my eye, given the Sharp's success betting on the Vols this season. Also, he's passed on a couple games he was unsure on, but picks the Vols on a Moneyline bet, which is unreal optimism given the spread in this game. Credit to BChilds on TOS. Check out his post for the rest. Surprisingly, a couple of them pick us to not only cover, but win.
Sharp E (3-0-2)
W1: Appalachian St. Cover (W)
W2: Pass
W3: N/A
W4: Vols Cover (W)
W5: Vols Cover (P) Over (W)
W6: Vols Cover (P)
One of the most historical games in the country but this game is always about trends and who is hot. This could be a bit of a swing game. Both teams are very good teams. Tennessee went 10-2 against Alabama from 95-2006, and Alabama has won the last 9. Before that Alabama did not lose 9 straight, and then Tennessee won four straight. The point here is that Tennessee is not the school that you beat up on for a quarter century at a time. Maybe 9, 10, or 11 games in a row you get the best of them but then they will come and real off a few wins in a row. This sharp believes that the streak is over for Alabama. This is not a Florida streak where Tennessee has been well equipped for several years, Tennessee can finally compete. Last week was an epiphany for Tennessee. Everything that could have gone wrong for the most part did go wrong. Turnovers, injuries, and the time of the turnovers were all awful. There is a legitimate argument that Tennessee should have won that game. This sharp thinks the vols get the luck of the bounce this week. And top Alabama. Both teams play well in this situation and he is going with the home team. Tennessee Moneyline (This is a wow). 38-31
Top picks (9-8-0)
Illinois (-6) over Rutgers
Nebraska (-4) over Indiana
Iowa State (+14) over Texas
Missouri (+14) over Florida
