Vol faithful,
The last two days have been slow enough at work where I've taken the liberty to watch the basketball team play in Maui. After seeing that we had lost to Chattanooga, my hopes for the season took a hit. We are very young, and not very big. I've been somewhat encouraged in the resolve of our team against Wisconsin and Oregon the last two days. We were down 17 against Wisconsin in the first half, and rallied to tie it in the second half. Today we got off to a slow start and we're in the game all the way through overtime. Before Oregon lost last week they were a preseason top five team.
Anyway, I've been impressed with Mostella and Lamonte Turner. I didn't get to see Jordan Bone against Chatt, but good guard ply can do a lot for a team. Fulkerson and Admiral Schofield can provide decent frontcourt play, and if we continue to improve SEC play may be promising. Other than Kentucky I don't think anyone is out of this world.
Just thought I'd share.
