The Cam Akers news sounds somewhat positive. That would give us a solid backfield for years to come.
The rest of the news was pretty awful. It appears we are trying to beat out Mich State, Oregon State, South Carolina and Miss State for the remainder of our class. There's no way you can call that a positive thing. Our #1 QB recruit may play baseball and not ever show up on campus IF he commits.
Trey Smith sure helped A LOT, but looking at who we are battling on the recruiting trails is not good. LBer and DB recruiting is below average right now. I'm not sure how else to spin it.
