I have made the decision to go to the game this Saturday and cheer on the men in orange who have decided to press forward and represent Tennessee vs TTU. It will be my first game in Knoxville this fall (I did travel to College Station). Why blow a whole Saturday traveling 4 hours up and back for TTU? Because those that remain deserve my support!
Someone, more than likely, will have their best game as a Vol this Saturday. Whether it's making their first tackle on special teams or grading out their best on the line, I want to be there to see it and to support them.
I will watch John Kelly go Travis Stephens/Tony Thompson the last 4 games for 500-600 yards. I will cheer for Josh Dobbs as he finishes his career as the great ambassador for the program he has always been, despite some limitations. I will cheer on Derek Barnett as he pursues the record he richly deserves and has earned. I will support our HC who wants to win more than any of us though he may not yet have developed into the leader we envision. If he doesn't learn from these experiences, that will be on him but I will not boo a man that cares as much as he does.
