Was Hurd a distraction last Saturday

Media guys are always talking about distractions when there are on or off the field issues with players or the program.

How about when your star running back quits on you? What kind of an impact does that have on the team, the offense in particular when Hurd is pouting on the sidelines. He officially quit on Monday. If he was verbally negative about coaches or his individual situation to his friends and teammates would that create a distraction that could impact offensive production.

It will be interesting to see how they play next week without the distraction. Players excited and talking up about Kelly lead me to believe theirs a sense of relief this week on the team.
