Obviously this Hurd situation was weighing on the team and coaches. You can't have a disgruntled star causing issues. I don't care if he was a fit for the system or not, but you can't have players dictating the style of play whatever the system is.
I think it became obvious to all of us that Hurd, while a gutty, tough player, does not have the explosiveness of other bigger backs like Chubb, etc. I'm not that sure he would have been better in an I-formation or not. Maybe Kamara and Kelly would not have been better in the I-formation. You don't know just trotting it out every now and then.
We'll be OK with Kamara and Kelly. They obviously want to be here and have thrived in this system.
Who knows, maybe Kongbo needs to go next if he's not willing to take snaps at DT for the good of the team. That's where he's needed FOR NOW. I want team first guys.
