Our French bulldog, Opie, has seemed a little off the last week or so. We Took her the vet today and were told her white and red blood cell count was way down. Platelets too. The vet did an X-ray and said she saw something on Opie’s liver. The next step would be to go down to UT and spend a ton of money to confirm whether it’s cancer or not and then decide whether we want to cut it out (which we don’t) or how to treat it in general. We ended up getting a few steroids to see if she feels better after a week or so. The vet was pretty straight forwarded and said she would be shocked if it wasn’t some form of cancer. She’s in good spirits - just a little lazier than normal. Unfortunately she isn’t even 6 yet. Has caught us off guard.
