What do you think about this model for the college football postseason?

We can all agree that schools are going to be beating up on each other the way this thing is headed

First off, the P5 schools would crown their national champion and the smaller schools in the MAC, Sun Belt, Mountain West, etc would crown their own champion. During the regular season, you would have at maximum 2 head to head games between each P5 school and each lesser school from the MAC, Sun Belt, etc etc etc. The other 10 games on the schedule would be against conference foes and other P5 schools.

Have 5 major conferences made up of 14 schools in each. With this model, some of the current smaller schools would make the move to major P5 conferences.

Out of those 70 P5 schools, there would be a postseason made up of 16 schools scattered among 8 bowls (Orange, Rose, etc). Those who win advance to the next round of 8 and are re-seeded 1 thru 8 based on record, head to head, and strength of schedule. The top 4 seeds all play at home in a 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, and 4-5 format. The winners of those games play for all the marbles in a 4 game playoff all at neutral pre-determined sites.

You would no longer have a P5 school playing a MAC or a Sun Belt team in a bowl game. The lesser schools play a similar postseason format to determine their own national champion. This would revive interest in bowl games across the land.
