When do preseason polls typically come out?

Are they usually released around a week or 2 before the season starts or do they come out closer to a month away?

I'd guess they'd be out in the next week or 2 no?

Edit: Just found this.....

The 2016 preseason AP Top 25 will be released on Aug. 21.

Seems like that is later than usual. The first game of the season is August 27th. Always thought they came out a couple weeks before.
