Sam: Smith, Bituli, Blakely
Based on spring reports thus far, this might not be too unrealistic. McDowell is pushing to stay on the field... Might be a decision of which is the better player between McDowell and Bituli.
Sam isn't going to play a ton, but hopefully more than last season. IMO the goal should be to be good enough in a 4-3 look to play it when we want to, not just when we have to. The 4-2-5 is still going to get the lion's share of the snaps for sure.
Doug Mathews mentioned Smith as a Mike, which was surprising to me. Would be a Zach Cunningham body type at the position... But having Kirkland and Bituli there it seems he would be much better suited to rep at Sam.
Not sure how realistic cross-training Bituli at Sam and Mike would be either...
