If this thing is all about $$ (which it is) Vandy doesn't bring anything to the table from an athletics standpoint.
They do nothing as far as tv market for middle TN and the only sport they really contribute to from a national perspective is baseball.
If this realignment stuff gets even more out of whack once the Big 12 makes all these moves, and conferences make even more drastic moves, would the SEC ever consider dumping Vandy and pushing towards adding something like UNC, Duke, UVA, Va Tech, NC State, Wake or any combination of these schools?
Even if you look at Vandy as an academic bonus to the SEC there would be plenty of higher-end academic schools you could pull from the ACC to replace them with AND create new TV markets in NC and VA.
Or does the fact that Vandy is a charter member of the SEC make them untouchable as far as conference realignment?
