Honestly I don't think UT beats usce last night even if they play well.....

Usce was on a whole different level last night.....just played a great game and was emotionally up the whole game and never really blinked

It happens in sports......we've seen it before esp in the NCAAT against UT and we've seen it when UT football was the big underdog vs teams like Bama, AU, ND, and Miami

Football Notes and quotes: Josh Heupel, players preview Vanderbilt in Monday press conference

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel and select players will meet with the media at 12:15 p.m. this afternoon as the No. 9 Vols prepare to face Vanderbilt in their regular season finale at FirstBank Stadium in Nashville on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on the SEC Network.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, this will be the only in-person media availability before Saturday.

We will have the best starting offensive line in the sec this year and no one outside the fanbase knows it yet.

Tell me they aren’t starting the year with the best starting guard duo in the conference. Carvin is gonna be a man among boys this year as he will be pushing 24 years old as a 3 year starter. Spraggins is a mauler that Elaebee said really worked on his pass game protection, which I think will make him a borderline 2nd all sec player in his 3rd year. Cooper mays had a decent year last year that was only hindered by injuries. He did all of that while only being a sophomore. Year 3 as as an o-linemen is the leap year, and already having a whole starting season under his belt should catapult his jump for his junior year. Then you have the tackles, with Wright being the equivalent of a shutdown corner on the right side and a good competition on the left. Wright staying on the right side tells me all I need to know about how the coaches feel about left tackle. Remember they played Mays out of position last year because they didn’t trust anyone else. They obviously like the potential of Crawford and Mincey to let Wright stay where he is comfortable. I understand depth is a question mark, but if we can stay healthy at center with mays and tackle with Wright, I think they will shatter record books. The only thing holding this team back last year from doing so was the oline, and with 4 solid starters back plus good talent at left tackle, no one will stop this offense.

Football Column: Hendon Hooker is a Tennessee football legend – simple as that

The way that Hendon Hooker performed – and guided – the Tennessee football program over the past two seasons has made him a legend in Knoxville, and a true VFL.

He never got too high or too low. He just worked hard.

A column on a remarkable quarterback:
