Since many are currently bashing Rivals for being too low on our commits, I looked up the ratings for them on all 3 sites (247 NON composite, Rivals and ESPN). Here are the highest ratings for our current commits:
Lewis - 5* and #11 overall (ESPN)
Brooks - 4* and #17 overall (ESPN)
Brown - 4* and #69 overall (Rivals)
Nixon - 4* and #175 overall (ESPN)
Mosley - 4* and # 233 overall (247)
Wilcoxson- 4* and #236 overall (247)
Merrill - 4* not top 247/250/300 (ESPN)
Rucker - 4* not top 247/250/300 (ESPN)
So currently 8 of our 17 commits are a 4* or higher on any one of the services. ESPN currently has us with 8 4/5*’s, Rivals at 6, and 247 with only 5 players ranked 4/5*’s (again, their rankings and not composite).
The list as of next Monday should add:
Willis - 4* and #68 overall (Rivals)
Salter - 4* and #88 overall (247)
Evans - 4* and #109 overall (Rivals)
Smith - 4* and #138 overall (247)
So next Monday (barring any surprises) we should have 12 of our 21 commits that are 4* or higher on one of the 3 services with their highest ratings being 5 at ESPN, 4 at 247 and 3 at Rivals.
Total 4/5*’s per service next Monday: ESPN with 10, 247 with 9 and Rivals with 8.
TLDR: Rivals may in fact hate us but if so then 247 kind of does too. Also, this class looks way better on paper next Monday than it did just 24 hours ago in going from 60% of the class being consensus 3*’s at all 3 services down to 43% of the class being consensus 3*’s. Hopefully that number is closer to 20% by signing day.
