the arguments people had against Rick Barnes?
Did LSU have some disappointment with bad QB play? Sure.
But when are we going to realize that accomplished coaches that get a "new breath of life" at a new school have done well? Look at our basketball program. Look at Miami with Richt. I mean goodness, we are a bottom feeder for the last decade!
Les Miles has done more than just about any coach in our history. Fulmer and Neyland are the only ones who can overshadow his accomplishments. I don't give a damn about "recruiting to LSU" If Butch Jones can recruit top 5-10 classes here, Les Miles sure as hell can.
Obviously his QB play struggled some, but I'd be willing to bet he's dying to prove himself again and that could include allowing someone to help innovate his offense. You don't think that's worth a shot? LSU wanted him gone because they feel like Saban should've been theirs cause he was there prior. Les has beat Saban before and always plays him close no matter the year. If anyone forgot we we were a THIRTY FIVE point dog to Bama this year.
Les Miles for 5-6 years with Tee Martin as AHC/CIW/OC and a great DC (which you know Les will get) would be MILES ahead of what we have been doing for years. "The guy averages two losses with top 5 talent!" how many coaches are there that AVERAGE only on TWO losses a season?
But you'd rather have Patterson, Brohm, Morris, etc? I do not get it.
Oh and bonus, Cade Mays likes Miles.
