I know I'm going to get killed, but I've felt worse and worse about the game as the week has progressed. Am I saying we're for sure going to lose? Of course not. But as the week has progressed, I've just felt less and less confident.

Is it battered Vol syndrome? That's probably part of it.

The fact that every time in recent history we've had a chance to make a real statement that we were back (2009 Alabama, 2010 LSU, 2011 Florida, 2012 Florida, 2013 Florida, 2013 UGA, 2014 Florida) certainly doesn't help matters. The fact that off the field, every time it seems like things are trending in a positive direction we get a kick to the groin with someone getting arrested, suspended, etc. probably doesn't help matter either.

As for the game. We're going to score points. I don't think there is any question about that. The question is, how many? Our offense was unstoppable last week, but OU has a pretty decent defense. I would say worst case scenario, we score about 20. If we click like we all hope we can, we could score about 35-38. Most likely scenario is we score in the 27-31 range.

So that brings us to whether we can stop OU from scoring more than that. This is where I get scared. I am very worried about our secondary outside of Sutton. I have very little confidence in our LBers outside of JRM. A think DT is just okay.

We ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE Barnett and Maggit abuse their tackles. They need to wreck their backfield. If they come out like they did against Bowling Green (who granted, was much more experienced at tackle). If Maggit and Barnett can get to the QB consistently, I think we have a great shot at winning. If they repeat their BGSU performance, I think we're in real trouble.
