If an additional coach is allowed this spring as many are speculating.......since the DL seems to be the most important position group to excel in to play championship football in the SEC why wouldn't we invest 2 coaches there like Clemson did and like we did when we were winning championships. I'm talking about on the field coaches not analysts or whatever they are called.
Can you imagine having Hoke coaching DT and Strip DE for the next few years? I think that would be a lot to sell recruits and that development would improve especially at DT. I know there is talk that Strip wants to cut back but if he was only coaching DEs and Hoke was doing the recruiting heavy lifting I would think he would be happy. Is this something that you think is being considered? Also, If Strip is stepping back to a lesser role you would never know it based on his current work in the recruiting trail.
