Was part of the defense’s poor performance Saturday the result of them running pretty vanilla schemes? Happy to see the offense move the ball and score. IMO the offense does have playmakers at the skill position. But I was shocked at the defensive effort. Quite frankly I wondered if we get a chance to see the skill players perform because of lack of protection. Hard for me to not think there were some built in extenuating factors holding our D back some?
