There's nothing "unstable" about a program who would be looking to make an elite hire if Butch is let go after next season. There's no reason to think Robert Gillespie wouldn't be retained. There's no reason to think the Vol Walk won't happen before every home game. 100,000+ fans will show up to cheer for him each time he runs through the T, no matter what. Regardless of who the head coach is; he'd still be taking hand-offs from Jarrett Guarantano, he'd still be running behind Trey Smith, Drew Richmond, Venzell Boulware, Ryan Johnson, Riley Locklear, and Marcus Tatum. He'd still be carrying the load at running back with Ty Chandler.

Is it possible that he could experience a coaching change during his career at Tennessee? Yes, it is, but there's also a chance that he'd enjoy his time at Tennessee even more if that change takes plays.

I'm hoping that he makes a decision based on things that will never change; like game day atmosphere, facilities, college campus, and future teammates, as opposed to something that could change at any university, not just Tennessee.
