Does anyone think it is interesting that South Carolina is negative recruiting against UT? Muschamp was fired after 4 seasons at Florida, going 28-21, and he was 6-7 in his first year at South Carolina. Now, I realize he has not lost to UT as a head coach, but those #'s are not impressive - 34-28. His claim to fame is coaching draft picks, but wouldn't any decent coach coach draft picks at Florida? Why would a kid give negative recruiting from South Carolina an ear?
Throw in that Sumlin at A & M has had 3 straight 8-5 seasons @ A & M after a 9-4 season. Gus Malzahn is 8-5, 7-6 & 8-5 in his last 3 seasons. LSU just changed coaches, Missouri's coach had a losing record last year, UGA eked out an 8-5 record, Kentucky barely got bowl eligible, we beat Florida last year, Ole Miss is in deep crap & Mullen is rumored to leave MSU every year.
UT's staff should have enough amunition to combat the negative recruiting. Sometimes we act like as a fan base that our program is such a mess and thus we are susceptible to negative recruiting. Not sure that is accurate.
