In front of the Florida road trip Barnes is still a little salty over the Arkansas game. Still very down on his team's defense, especially on the perimeter. Concerned going into this one because of Florida's skill and experience in the backcourt. Clamping down on penetration is definitely priority No. 1. That's going to be a tough match-up with the Gators and guys like Casey Hill and Kevaughn Allen out front.
Loves the effort and the defense he's seen from Kwe Parker in the last couple of games. Feels like he really sets a tone when he's on the floor. Now wants to see him making better decisions with the ball, particularly with shot selection. Noted that he had seven attempts on Tuesday, which is a little on the high end unless those are just lay-ups.
Obviously very pleased with what Grant Williams is doing so far but Barnes says he still thinks he can do even more. Wants him to be more selfish and really start demanding the ball. Likes how he's fighting for his space on both ends of the floor and mentioned that he's doing a good job of learning what he can and can't get away with in the post.
Rick seemed pretty critical of Jordan Bone, not a total 'throw him under the bus' situation by any means, but doesn't think he's back in sync with his teammates yet. Noted he made a couple of bad decisions against Arkansas and just reiterated that it's tough to miss nine games and then just step back in where you left off.
