What's the difference between a head coach leaving his team for a new gig prior to the bowl game (i.e Tom Herman) and a top NFL prospect deciding not to play in a bowl game to focus on the NFL Draft.
It seems the public perception would be far worse if a player were to "quit" before a bowl game to focus on the next chapter of their career rather than a coach doing the same thing.
I'm not judging either way, but isn't it the same thing?
